A	lpha Sigma Phi is a local fraternity located in the UERM College of Medicine in the Philippines. Established in 1959 by members of the university's first two batches of medical students, the Alpha Sigma Phi continues to grow and remains strong in fostering its ideals of academic excellence and service to community.
S	ervice has always been an integral part of the thrust of the Alpha Sigma Phi, from scholarships to medical missions conducted in indigent communities around Metro Manila and other provinces in the Philippines.
F	unding for such missions come from Alpha Sigma Phi organized events, such as the Red Hot and White Band Competition and the Aesculapius Challenge Quiz competition, the planning and staging of which are done entirely by the members of the Alpha Sigma Phi. (Not so easy tasks since these have to be balanced with the rigors of medical life.)
